Our History

The story of Prescribing Life begins with Neural Therapy, a practice developed in the 1920s by German physicians Dr. Ferdinand and Dr. Walter Huneke for their sister, who suffered from debilitating chronic pain. After conventional therapies failed, they discovered that strategically applying local anesthetics could influence the nervous system and significantly improve her condition. Their pioneering method was so successful that today it remains a common treatment in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, and many countries across South America.

A Direct Lineage of Expertise

Neural Therapy

Started by the Huneke brothers in the 1920’s is now being best understood throughout quantum physics thanks to the contributions of Dr. Julio Cesar Payan and the blooming of regenerative medicine.

The Huneke brothers' most renowned student, Dr. Peter Dosh, brought this knowledge to Colombia, where he mentored Dr. Julio Cesar Payan. In recognition of his immense contributions, Dr. Payan was awarded the prestigious Huneke Medal in the 2010s and went on to establish the first Spanish-speaking Neural Therapy school in the 1970s.

This is where our story connects directly to the source: Dr. Jairo Ardila and Dr. Laura Ardila, founders of Prescribing Life in 2015, were personally trained by the esteemed Dr. Payan.

This direct lineage is critically important, as there are no formal Neural Therapy schools in the English-speaking world. Our connection is a direct link to the authentic principles of the practice, ensuring we preserve the purity, efficacy, and core philosophy of the Huneke brothers' work.

To honor this legacy, Prescribing Life is dedicated to improving the quality of life for our patients while also serving communities in need through regular medical missions. We are committed to continuing this twofold mission of clinical excellence and humanitarian service.
